Alyssa Seidman ’17

Alyssa Seidman (’17) is currently working as a full-time reporter for the Herald Community Newspapers in Garden City. She covers neighborhoods on the Gold Coast of Long Island, including Sea Cliff, Glen Head, Glen Cove, and Oyster Bay. Alyssa was the co-editor-in-chief of The Pioneer newspaper as a sophomore. During her junior and senior years, she was the managing editor of The Bottom Line magazine. Some notable stories she covered while at Post included the inaugural naming of the campus’ new athletic stadium, union negotiations for campus secretaries who were working without contracts, WCWP’s 50th Anniversary on the air, and an intimate Q&A with Jay Leno.
