Recipe of the Week: Nachos

Hanging out with friends in your dorm and looking for a quick snack? Here’s a quick, delicious snack that can be created in the microwave in minutes. This snack can be served on a laid back Friday night!

Prep time: 5 Minutes Serving: 4 to 5

You will need:

1 large bags of either Tostitos or Doritos
Shredded cheese of your choosing
Ready-made chopped meat
Jalapeño peppers
Sour cream
Avocado
Lemon juice
Cilantro

To prepare:

On a microwaveable safe plate spread bag of nachos evenly and cover with shredded cheese and chopped meat. Place in the microwave for one minute to one minute and fifteen seconds. Remove from microwave once cheese is completely melted. Remove skin of avocado and squash in a bowl. Add cilantro and lemon juice to create a simple guacamole topping. Add jalapeño peppers, sour cream and self made guacamole to the top of your nachos along with any other toppings you and your guests are craving.

To serve:

Place in the middle of your friend group and enjoy over a napkin in case of fallen toppings.
